  • Please add whatsapp api option in zima
    The Whatsapp api was planned as part of the notification feature, used to remind subscribers a few days before their subscription expires. Some ISPs use Telegram, others Whatsapp, others suggested notifying subscribers using web push notification to subscribers' app that the subscribers install on their phones. To make the process simpler, we decided to release a REST API endpoint that you could build on it extended features that still do not exist in Zima. For example, the Whatsapp notification feature that you suggested. We plan to implement REST API endpoint next week. First endpoint that we plan to release will return the list of subscriptions with their expiry dates. This list will be used to build the notification feature that you want and you could integrate whatever app (whatsapp, telegram, sms, email, etc.) There are other use cases that could make use of REST API endpoints. Your feedback and the feedback of the community is appreciated. So please share your thoughts

  • What is this probes feature about?
    The probes feature is a recent feature that we released. It is useful to observe any device that has an IP and that is accessible from your router (the one where you pasted Zima script). In other words, if you go to your winbox /tools/ping and you ping an IP from there and it works (reacheable), you can go to Zima/probes and add this IP in probes list. Zima will be instructed to ping it over time and to fill ping graphs for this IP that you added. Those graphs are useful when you want to debug if a link is stable over time, the delay is constant and the timeouts are low. This feature is versatile, you could add any local IP on your network or even ping online servers or websites. Later we plan to make it easier to add probes for your subscribers devices. By enabling probe for the device, it will show in your probes list, and Zima will ping it for you and fill ping graph. Any specific use cases that you would like to ask about concerning probes or any suggestions. Your feedback and the community feedback is appreciated.

  • User showing offline in Zima porta;
    You mean the row selected in yellow? It shows session uptime, it means online. However, the user status is updated after Zima reads an update from your router. It is possible that the status does not match mikrotik until Zima receives an update from your router. Also, in order to see the new status you need to refresh the page. Idea: It would be a good idea that we add a new column "Last router update" or "Updated since". It helps you trace when the last update took place. On another note, we plan to release the live graphs soon, as a result there will be no need to refresh the page, it will update the status automatically (status will be updated dynamically, without page refresh). Those are upcoming features soon.

    Thank you for the screenshot. We debugged and fixed it. It was a minor bug caused by the recent change in the order of menu items. But now everything is back to normal.

  • Sync issue with zima
    go to router page, check the logs tab. It will tell you the sync issue. For example, one of the most common issues is "pppoe server interface does not exist". This issue happens when you have an interface, you add a pppoe server to it using zima, then you remove this interface in your mikrotik. It is not a critical one since it does't affect the graphs reading, however it is better to fix it. So to fix it, you simply go to router page, interfaces and remove the interface that doesn't exist anymore. The message stops to appear again.
